The day of food and laundry
So after the pool we ended up just doing some stuff around the house. We didn’t make it to Torrance’s uncles house to help out today.
Since we ended up with no plans, I took the opportunity to get some laundry done (ugh). Since we dont have a washer and dryer to put in the apartment yet I have to go down to the community laundry area to do it. Not fun BUT I dont really want to complain because I’m glad that they even have them to use on the premises, because the last place I want to spend time is at the laundromat. At least this way I can put the stuff in and run back to the apartment.
While I was waiting for the laundry I fit in a workout (finally). I dont typically do afternoon workouts but it worked-out (hehe) perfectly. I did a walking interval workout that I found on Courtney’s page last week. I figured, since I havent been working out lately I would do a walking routine today instead of running but dont let it fool you, it kicked my ass! I did make a few small changes to it though like lowering some of the higher inclines.
Even though I was pooped, brown dog of course still needed to go on a walk. It was a good cool down.
Once I was done with that I was famished, so I had a snack/lunch including a smoothie and then some cheese and crackers shortly after.
My smoothie had:
- 1/2 a frozen banana
- handful of fresh blueberries
- 2 scoops of Vi mix
- about 3/4 cup of nonfat milk
- a little ice
That wasnt quite enough so I also enjoyed some wheat things with one of my favorite snacks…
What is better than cheese?!
Not long after that…. (seriously like 2 hours) I was ready for dinner.
I was feeling in the mood for a stir fry but not really in the mood to do the leg work tonight so I did up something quick.
I cooked up some cous cous and topped it with some sauteed shrimp, mushrooms, sugar peas, and fresh diced tomatoes with a side of garlic bread.
It was perfect to satisfy my craving!
I’m off to bed to watch the newest episode od KUWTK (Keeping up with the Kardashians) and then Ice Loves Coco (dont judge me!)
