I did it, I woke up early and worked out. Phew. I didn’t wake up at 5:30 like I figured I would have to, but I got up at 6 and got a good hour workout in! I did a 20 minute run on the treadmill. I didn’t do intervals today, instead just did a steady run at about 4mph with a 2% incline. I also did a quick upper body workout including tricep pulls, lat pulls, bicep curls, and row.
After that, the morning was a little hectic because Torrance and I were running a little late. First we ran a little late leaving the house headed to drop him off at work, so I was in a rush to get back home so I would make it on time but when I was halfway back to the apartment, low and behold, his phone was sitting in the truck (which he needs for work) so I turned around and headed back to bring it to him…. I ended up rushing and having 20 minutes between the time I got to the apartment and when I had to leave to be to work so I got ready in a hurry this morning.
Since I didn’t have time to do anything with my hair it is still wet, so I kind of look like a wet rat – but nothing that some awesome shoes can’t make up for.
After seeing a delicious looking burger the other day on Mallory’s blog, I was really craving one. I had gotten some buffalo burger over the weekend (which I love). When pattying the burgers, I mixed in:
- minced garlic
- finely chopped sweet mayan onions (I am not a huge onion fan but these add awesome flavor!)
- black pepper
- a tiny bit of BBQ sauce (I prefer Sweet Baby Rays brand)
I grilled them up on my mini George Foreman and topped them with some swiss cheese (since that is Torrance’s favorite). Also some fresh tomatoes our friends gave us from their garden, lettuce, and a little honey dijon.
I diced up some cantaloupe I had in the fridge and also steamed those red potatoes and green beans in a little garlic butter. So good!
How do you prefer your veggies on the side?
I prefer mine steamed with a little margarine! Though I want to start roasting them, yum!
