Spaghetties

Check out this piece (or pile) of heaven.

Yeah.

Doesnt that almost have Torrance’s name all over it with his chocolate problem?

Well you see, apparently I wasnt the only one with cake on my mind yesterday because a coworker also brought in the above beauty. As you know, cake is my only true weakness when it comes to sweets. So with it staring at me all day I had to cut off a slice and test it out. Since it was so moist it broke up a little and ended up as a pile rather than a slice which added to the anticipation.

It was delish.

Moving on, I came home and wanted something that took no preparation. Spaghetti was the winner!

I have two spaghetties (not a word but thats ok) – one that takes 5 minutes, and one that takes forever because I do a homemade sauce which maybe I will someday save.

Tonight, I did the quick-make of course. I use a sauce and add a few things to it. My store-bought sauce of choice?

Prego Traditional. I usually do the ‘Heart Smart’ that Prego offers but they were at the grocery store so I had to settle for the higher sodium option. I like the pure taste of Prego (if that makes sense) and that it is a little simpler so I can add what I please.

I added a little minced garlic, ground beef, and sauteed mushrooms. And with garlic bread on the side of course!

I also prefer my spaghetti with angel hair instead of spaghetti…. so yes it is angel hair with red sauce instead maybe?

Im off to bring brown dog on one last walk tonight and then turn in for some good od TV relaxing and then back to some working out tomorrow!!

Before I saw this post I was thinking that tonight just may be a pasta night! I have been craving it like mad. My favorite store bought sauce is actually the canned marinara at Trader Joe’s…. it’s everything pasta sauce should be 😀

  2. YUM i will have to try it. I can honestly say I have never been to Trader Joes (so sheltered in Alaska) and was hoping there would be one in my area to test out… there is one about an hour away so I definitely plan to hit it up next time I go that way!!
