Keepin’ It Classy
I forgot to report back about my new shoes – I have used them the last 2 nights at fitness class and I love them. They are really lightweight, comfortable, and offer a lot of cushion on the bottom.
Class last night was good, among other things we did pull ups using the TRX straps, cleans using the kettlebells, and dumbbell lateral lunges (<—love these, they are probably one of my favorite moves). It was an amazing workout and I left feeling sweaty and extra tired.
So tired in fact, that when I got home I didnt feel like cooking. Torrance was exhausted as well as he worked a really long day yesterday. I was relieved to hear he was ok with eating leftovers. I was going to just eat cereal but I decided to cook up some dippy eggs on an english muffin with a little cheese.
And yes, that is a glass of wine…with my eggs.
I like to keep things classy around here.
I slept like a rock last night since I was so tired and I wanted it to last forever….I laid around in bed for quite a while this morning which brown dog surprisingly allowed (i.e. she wasnt in my face pestering me to go out the instant she saw I was awake). I took her on a quick walk this morning and hurried up to get ready and make some breakfast.
My egg dinner last night re-sparked my craving for an egg and jelly sandwich so of course I fulfilled that craving this morning.
In other (frustrating) news. Remember how I found the perfect picture to go over my fire place? It was going to be making its lovely debut here for you all to see except it didnt work out so great. When Torrance went to mount it, he slightly complained to me that I shouldnt buy pictures (especially that large) that dont have mounting hardware on the back.
Oops, I actually didnt even think of that. We connected mounts and to make a long story short, it looked awesome… the 6 hours it lasted, that is.
As soon as we went to bed, we heard a clunk and a crash… sure enough the picture came crashing down. It was a malfunction with the backing on the picture (the wood they put on there for mounting was apparently not connected to the picture very well). So, I called Bed Bath and Beyond and politely asked them if there was anything they could do and they apologized like crazy and told me they would be happy to exchange it or give us store credit – so that is on my to-do list this week/weekend.
I swear, our house will be decorated one day… haha. I am also on the prowl for a dining room table at this point. It is time to have furniture and be normal again 😉
Have a fabulous day!
