Hiccups & Christmas Survey
I have had the damn hiccups all day today! And let me tell ya – they are exhausting!!
None of my usual tricks have worked either, which is so strange. Usually eating a Tums or two always helps. Or chugging water, holding my nose while drinking water, etc. Just not working.
I somehow managed to make it out into the shopping world though to finish the stocking stuffer project along with pick up some presents for Kona 🙂
Since it is safe to say she probably doesnt read the blog, she got a cute new chest harness with matching leash and matching color and a new name-tag. Aww. Along with a toy, treats, and a bone of course! Spoiled.
I also managed to get some more cookie baking done, there was a new recipe I wanted to test out and figured I could bring them into work for coworkers to enjoy tomorrow. They came out excellent! It happens to be a recipe that I have seen floating around a few other blogs (different variations of it at least) and not quite sure where it came from originally, but yum!
Here is a sneak peek:
Recipe to come tomorrow! 🙂
I also spent today doing this:
Yes, working on Christmas cards… within a week of Christmas 😉
We actually werent going to do them this year but Torrance said he just feels like we really need to so everyone knows we are thinking of them. I am actually taking a break from the hand cramping as we speak!
I end up sending out a lot. I have a huge, huge family with lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins. I typically send them out to the ones I keep in touch with most which is a little more than half – but it still ends up being a lot of cards between Torrance and mine’s family. Tis the season though!
I’m off to finish cards and I think I will squeeze in another run today. I did my first run in the Couch to 5K program yesterday, and it surprisingly went smoothly. I felt like I could have maybe kicked it up a notch, but I think for now I will ease into it and follow the program.
I was definitely feeling all those squats we did at training Friday night though! My legs and glutes were a little on the sore side!
I will leave ya with this fun Christmas survey I have seen on many-a-blog. I really enjoy reading these from others – fun seeing other people’s holiday favs and traditions!
