Crazed Dog, Taco Time, & Holiday Nails

This is what a dog that seriously wants some frozen yogurt looks like:

Last night she was all over me when I was eating that… it may or may not have something to do with the fact that I let her lick the bowl when I was done last time.

Yesterday flew by, which was perfect because I felt really anxious all day. I am not sure if it is just because Christmas is coming, or because I just had lots on my to do list…or a mix of both.

I do know that by the time lunch showed up I was STARVING. I enjoyed another quick salad along with a mandarin and a banana on the side.

Just my usual salad mix: romaine, spinach, tomato, cucumber, corn, a little sliced roast beef, mozzarella, and some pita chips for crrrrunch!

I also, for some reason (ambition?) decided to go to training last night. I typically do go on Mondays but was contemplating taking yesterday off since I trained Friday, and then ran Saturday and Sunday – so today will be my rest day!

At training I was happy that we did more core and upper body focused stuff since my quads are still really sore from Friday. We did hanging tucks, squat rows using the TRX straps, rope waves, and an overhead ball slam (in the picture below), and one of our stations had us full speed on the stationary bike, and we did lunges while chopping a sledge hammer. I must admit I may have felt like a badass lumberjack while doing the sledge hammer one.

I like to inconspicuously take pictures with my phone while I’m at the water break station. So sneaky.

When I arrived home a sweaty mess, my stomach was growling – and Torrance instantly said “I’m hunnnnngry” the second he heard the door open.

I cooked up some shrimp tacos with some spanish rice on the side.

I forgot to take a picture of the deliciousness before I wrapped it up! I figure this way you can let your imagination flow… kidding.

I was a little sad that I forgot I was out of my EXTREME tortillas though. Oh well, it was still really good!

I also managed to get in a little extra time last night to add some holiday festivities to my nails.

The candy cane stripes on the other hand arent as pretty since my left hand was a little shaky for that 😉

On a side note, I am playing with the redesign of the blog a little more (small stuff like fonts, etc – nothing major) so bare with me as it may change a tiny bit – and of course feedback is always welcome! 🙂

I’m off to make breakfast! I hear an egg sandwich and ginormous coffee calling my name!

  • Can you/do you paint your own nails?
Yes I do my own and I am decent at it, besides designs.
  • What do you like in your tacos?
Always soft shell/flour tortilla, sour cream, cheese, shrimp, tomato, sometimes green pepper.
