Childhood Snack Memory Lane

Well… back to work!

It is quite the rainy and blah day outside (as was most of the weekend). So I was craving something warm for breakfast…egg sandwich of course!

———————————

I forgot to share a delicious find from the other day at the store. Well, I cant really say it was a find, more of a craving.

Remember how I mentioned that I really need to keep more sweet stuff in the house? Well, ever since Teresa mentioned these beauties I have been wanting them because they sounded like something that was right up my alley.

Yes, vanilla cupcake goldfish graham crackers. These things are delish and just a few of them are good for a sweet craving (though I could easily probably eat the whole thing at once). They resemble a nilla wafer… only a whole lot better.

Goldfish remind me of being a kid. I should probably get one of these awesome goldfish containers for safe keeping to get the whole effect.

Though I didn’t always have typical kid lunches growing up, there are still some snacks I enjoyed on the regular included:

Fruit rollups

String cheese (always the “Cheesehead” kind)

And pudding cups! (Tapioca was always my favorite! Or chocolate of course)

Oh the good ol’ days.

Have a good Monday! I will be headed off to training tonight for a good shweaty workout! I’m cutting it short today so make sure you catch up and check out the posts from over the weekend!

That goldfish container WILL be mine. Where do you find all this amazing stuff?! Wine purse and now this….you can do no wrong.

Fruit snacks remind me of my childhood. We used to (and still do…) buy them in bulk at Costco. My friends laugh at me when I pull them out in class, but I know that they are just secretly jealous. 🙂

  4. I need to try those goldfish!! I’m not a fan of the original goldfish b/c I’m not a huge cheese person, but I love the s’more version … and I bet I’d love the vanilla ones!

Personally, I’ve been a big fan of Pop-Tarts since childhood. I went through a phase last year, when I would eat a SMALL dinner and then eat 2 pop-tarts for dessert. But I finally stopped b/c I knew that they were horrible for me. Everything in MODERATION, but not 2 a day! 😉

  5. I still love those darn pudding cups! No workout for me today – I’m sore from a ladder birthday workout yesterday.

  6. Vanilla cupcake GOLDFISH?!?!??! Are you kidding me–yummmo! How have I not heard of these?

Gushers and Dunkaroos are totally my childhood faves. I also loved Little Debbie snack cakes, Fudge rounds, and Oatmeal Cream pies–so unhealthy but sooooo good! Now I am hungry… 🙂
