Lots of Legs & A Bedroom Creeper
Oh almond butter banana sandwich, you make my morning complete!
So….holy legs and abs.
Last night’s training started out with our trainer saying “tonight’s workout is going to be a little different tonight… your legs and core are going to take a load today.”
He had us do a cross body chop which was awesome for engaging the abs. Then, we did a one-armed overhead press twist (I used a 10 lb dumbbell) while staying in a squat position. I struggled to keep my heels down on this one. It burned!
Also, hanging squats using the TRX straps, planks, pivoting squats (I’m not gonna lie, I felt like a complete badass like Spider Man while doing these), and cleans using the kettle bell.
And then the true leg burner. I don’t even know what to call it but I will try to explain it the best I can. I highly recommend giving it a whirl.
Basically, kneeling on one knee, hold a medicine ball out in front of you. As you come up pull the ball in toward your chest and then kneel back down while pressing the ball back out. He said that the distance your knee comes up doesn’t matter, it can be one inch or 1 foot, the focus is more on the constant movement of the chest press. Then switch legs.
I promise you will burn and your legs will feel like complete rubber. Gumby style.

One of my classic childhood toys.
It ended as one of those nights where it took me 10 minutes to walk up my stairs to my apartment. Pathetic I know.
I was craving something carb-y for dinner. Enchiladas it was! Chicken, black bean and cheese – my fav (especially left over for lunch!)
I ate the mini salad on the side in attempt to get some extra veggies in for the day – because I was lackin’!
And someone please tell me that sometimes when you are cooking your kitchen looks like this:
I wasn’t even making anything difficult, and I have plenty of counter space, so I have no idea what is going on. It was like an explosion.
As I am working on this post last night. I cant help but notice this creeper staring at me.
Seriously, 5 minutes straight like that. Something tells me she really wanted attention.
My legs are definitely… fatigued today so I may be heading to training tomorrow instead of tonight 😉
