Noodle Arms & Sports Bra Finder

Well, let me tell you – training last night worked my arms until they were like little noodles.

Forearms, biceps, triceps, and shoulders, it’s all feeling it today!

I was doing inclined push ups on the Lebert bars like it was my JOB.

We also did a deep squat with a counter weight (kettle bell) basically pulling the kettle bell toward chest as we came up and lowering as we went down. But, I am proud to say I used the 30 lb kettle bell for this. This is huge for me because I usually use the smaller one for most everything. He was pushing me as usual, and I was surprised I could do it, ya know, without falling over and all that.

Overall, I am definitely seeing a huge difference in my upper body strength, which when I started my training– was seriously lacking. My upper body has always been/felt so weak!

On another fitness related note, I recently discovered something pretty cool.

I think it’s safe to say we are all pretty picky about sports bras right? Meaning we all have our favorites and certain things we want/need/like. I prefer mine to be very tight/supportive, usually racerback, and the straps to be somewhat cushy.

So, Champion now has a site that focuses strictly on sports bras. Genius. I have mentioned before that I typically buy inexpensive workout gear… as far as shirts, shorts, and pants go that is. But when it comes to a good sports bra and good shoes, I am willing to pay the big bucks for those (not really the big bucks, but you know what I mean).

So, the coolest feature at their sports bra site is definitely the bra finder.

You choose your size, desired support/impact (medium, high, or maximum), and then you actually get to choose features that you want!

And then it spits out the best matches for you.

Pretty cool right?

They also have an option where you can register your sports bra and they will send a reminder when they think it’s about time you get a new one or something similar comes out.

Kinda cool too huh?

I actually plan on ordering one of my “matches” soon. I’m curious to see if I fall in love with it.

I very randomly have a Champion sports bra that I have had for a while that is just my favorite. I bought it sort of as a fluke because it was on the sale rack somewhere when I was on vacation and I needed one (forgot to pack one dammit!) and I just love it, no idea which one it is or anything unfortunately, or I would buy 10 more just like it!

Have a good day! I’m only working a half day today because I get to go pick Torrance’s mom up from the airport this morning! She is flying in to join us on our beach trip this weekend!

  • Do you feel that your upper or lower body is stronger?
  • Have you ever used Lebert bars in a workout? (The yellow ones in the above picture, I just learned what they were called).
I never had until my training. We use them a lot for dips, or laying down and doing a pull up, etc. and also some stretches!
  • What is something you look for in a good sports bra (other than support)?

  2. I’m definitely checking out the sports bra finder! Thanks for sharing! I like a tight and supportive sports bra, but not one that’s super flattening. I have found some recently at Marshalls that have some cups in them (not thick or pushup or anything lol) that I really like.

Daniel is going to make me some Lebert bars and I can’t wait!

my lower body is definitely stronger..i do some weight training for upper body but i really need to focus on building that up more!

I ALSO desperately need some new sports bras…i dont have much going on in the chest area but I mostly look for decent support and something that wont kill me with chafing (esp with running)

  6. were you smiling like the girl in that pic while doing your inclined push ups? 🙂
Thanks for the suggestion on that website! I ALWAYS struggle with sports bras b/c of my big “girls”. I’m always up for new suggestions! I’m headed over there right now to see what they have for me!!

    • Yeah!!! I’m ordering the “convertible” one that they suggested for me I think. There is another that they suggested that looked good also!

  7. My lower body is definitely stronger. I seem to naturally have more muscular legs. I have no idea how that happened, but I guess I just have to thank genetics haha. But my upper body? Pathetic! I have zero arm strength!

I am def going to check out that site. I am tired of wearing two sports bra’s whenever I run or do a lot of jumping. Mama needs max support 😉
