Morning Madness, Lots of Beef, & Wine Sale!

Monday….you make me tired Smile

I made an egg sandwich, and you better bet that a quick detour to Starbucks will be in order this morning!

I think about how organized I am in the mornings now (which isnt saying much). But I used to shoot out of bed, shower and head to work in disarray. There are still some mornings like that…. but for the most part, I take the time to get things together for my day.

Let’s go over the weekend shall we?

Mostly, it was pretty lazy and involved getting some boring house stuff done since we werent home last weekend.

It did involve some good food though. Like grilling some steaks…

…with salad, half a baked potato with some cheese, mini corn on the cob, and biscuits.

And we also had some grilled burgers:

With baked beans and watermelon!

I have had my share of beef for the week, that’s for sure!

But it was oh-so-good.

There were even some good snacks consumed:

Grapes, cheese, and crackers. Yum!

It went nicely with all the wine I drank this weekend.

When I saw this cart at the grocery store from afar – I went in a full-on sprint and scooped up all the good stuff like a greedy little kid.

I would be lying if  I didn’t tell you that this kind of made my weekend.

On a completely random note – guess who is hurt again?

Not allergies this time, or a UTI – but she hurt her little foot.

Yesterday we went to Torrance’s uncle’s in the afternoon and let Kona run around and get some exercise for a few hours (since he has a huge yard).

Well, right when were getting ready to leave I noticed she was holding up her foot a little and when we checked the bottom her pad had a cut on it, though it wasn’t really bleeding. When we arrived home and cleaned and inspected it (we decided against going to the vet since it wasn’t very bad) it looks more like it was almost a blister or she just rubbed the surface skin off from running around all day maybe.

So we cleaned it, put a little Neosporin on, and wrapped it up so she couldn’t lick it. She seems to be doing fine now.

Off to get ready for work and head out the door! Have a great Monday!

  • Are you organized in the morning or do you start the day feeling rushed/in disarray?
  • Any good eats this weekend?
  • What is something you can not resist when it’s on sale?

  1. aww i’m glad Kona is feeling better…i had to deal with Nacho freaking out most of the weekend bc he’s terrified of rain and surprise surprise..rain and thunder on friday and sunday, lol.

  4. Oh wine. I’m drooling over that baked potato… I have been craving them NON-STOP. Have you ever been to Total Wine? You might cry if you do go. It’s fantastic. Wine is SO cheap there.

  5. This weekends eats were pathetic. Donuts, pizza, and cookies. Like, over and over again. Oh the joys of moving. 🙂

  6. I am certainly NOT a morning person but I have gotten much better. Like you I used to jump out of bed, make coffee and run out the door. 90% of the time without eating breakfast. Now I get up about 30 minutes before I have to leave for work.(It used to be 15 minutes tops.) I lay everything out the night before (clothes, lunch etc..) so I can still sleep in a bit but I have time to eat something and wake up!
