Stability Ball Push Ups & More Salmon

Whew, last nights workout was a good one (as usual).

The best (or hardest maybe?) moves included rope climbing (yes – high school gym class style!), walking lunges with 15 lb medicine ball, push ups on the stability ball (always a tough one!)….

On the fourth set I got so shaky I actually had to put the ball up against the wall to hold it steady so I could at least get some decent push ups in!

We also did leg curls with the TRX. Always a tough one for me!

When I got home, I was ready to make a speedy dinner.

Steamed asparagus, cous cous, and yet more salmon.

I know, I’m kind of on a salmon kick lately. I went through a phase where fish didnt sound appealing to me at all for a couple months – I guess my craving is back!

The wine was purely for my enjoyment, not for cooking 🙂

For the salmon this time, I just did some lemon juice and olive oil with lots of dill.

Torrance said it was too much dill. And I told him to shut it.

I also had another little project I worked on….

Chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting! Oh yum. I am being good and ate just one and then sent them off with the boys to work!

Have a great day, I’m in a hurry so I’m off to start the working festivities – have a great Tuesday!

  • Favorite cupcake flavor?
    I like chocolate/vanilla/peanut butter mixes
  • When it comes to herbs, do you typically use fresh or dried (in a bottle/packet)?
I use fresh where I can. I keep dried ones in stock so I always have them since fresh ones dont last long but I just think when using fresh you can really, really tell the quality is just so much better and it really changes the food. I always try to use fresh basil, fresh mint, and in this case, I used fresh dill.

  4. Red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting are my weakness. I get my herbs (fresh) at Kroger and dried at Savory Spice Shop (

    Those cupcakes look FANTASTIC.

I love salmon too, the more dill the better I say.
There is a place here called Trophy cupcakes and their vanilla/vanilla is like heaven in your mouth. I crave it. Idk what they put in it, but it is soooo amazing. Now I have to go get some. ugh.

Love vanilla with buttercream frosting. And I used fresh herbs when I can- however, dried oregano is much better than fresh (for me!)

  8. Typically I use dried herbs but I recently bought a basil plant and I use it in EVERYTHING!

I am excited to try those stability ball pushups next time I hit the gym. I am still loving the Bosu Ball pushups but change is always good when it comes to a workout!
