Broken Chairs & Food Prepping
So… here I am. Let’s not make this awkward… (long time no see?)
What have I been up to?
Well, alotta work.
Alotta working out.
(Love having a heart rate monitor by the way).
And alotta other random little things and projects. The weather here has been rainy so I have been taking care of some stuff around the house that has been long neglected.
If you’re reading this at the actual blog rather than in your email or the soon-to-be-dead Google Reader, then you will see the blog got a little makeover. Its not really done because as usual, my attention span withered quickly before I completed it… so expect a little bit of construction zone going on around here for a bit.
The heading kind of reminds me of Aladin, yeah? But I sort of like it. I wanted to go a lot more plain and clean with the whole blog. Not so much clutter – and definitely got sick of looking at the ridiculous picture of my mug and other random things I had up there. (Kona insisted on the name drop)
So anyway, besides that stuff, I finally got off my ass and went and got a little desk for our house finally. Torrance has a lot of paperwork that goes along with his job and spends some time on the computer after he is done at work. This meant that paperwork started to take over our kitchen table.
I have some fun stuff to put up on the wall too with it… but at the rate I move with doing stuff like that, I’m sure it’ll be a month or so (ha!). Notice the lack of chair? Sadly the one I got was broken in the box. The whole wooden leg was busted so I had to order another one.
I also spent some time prepping some stuff this week for lunches, etc.
Hard boiled eggs, Quinoa cherry tomatoes, strawberries, sliced cucumbers, broccoli, diced green peppers.
It was actually pretty simple, and definitely more convenient. I steam broccoli a lot for dinner (since I can’t eat it raw) so it has definitely made that quicker. It only took me about 20-30 to clean, rinse, and cut everything up (and cook the quinoa) on Sunday afternoon.
