Here I Am!

Long time no seeeee.

I’ve been slackin. I havent been doing too much.

We did go to our big 2-day concert (Carolina Rebellion) last weekend (okay, now it is like the weekend before last actually).

It was a blast. And the music was awesome. And I wore my festive Coors Light hat (made out of a Coors Light box, duh)

hat

We found Fred Durst and forced him to take a picture with us because 7th grade me would have been pissed if I didnt.

fred Yes, that really is him. Not even kidding….I know..

And we also found Waldo…

The saddest part was that Sunday it rained the entire day. We all wore full on rain gear, pants and all.. but it meant that the bands that were supposed to play later in the afternoon ended up getting canceled. WHICH of course happened to be the ones I really wanted to see the most – i.e. Rise Against (and Bush!)

There is a bit of a back story to that actually as this now marks the official THIRD time that we have missed them. Someday we will get to see them…

So, I think my favorite show/band since I missed smoe of my favs was Three Days Grace and Bullet For My Valentine. Okay, Alice In Chains and Deftones was good too.

Anyway, there were a lot of pissed off concert goers because of the cancelations on Sunday, so the promoters (or whatever they are called who put the festival on) gave everyone an option to get a free ticket for Sunday for the festival next year or you could get a partial refund instead. I thought that was pretty cool of them to do that, I mean they really didnt have to.

Other things I’ve been up to?

Hanging out with this little brown a-hole.

browndog She has been extra needy lately.

And then I went to Target this weekend, ya know, for one thing… and left with like 15 things. Mostly clothes.

target I mean they had tanks 3 for $20. And running tights and shorts that were both on sale… and SHORTS. I need shorts. And the best part was I tried on like 4 different brands/styles of shorts and I was a size smaller in all of them. BOooooYA!

And lastlt, I have discovered my new favorite snack:

dipper Seriously. Delish. I have made these myself, but it’s just not the same. (And incase you are wondering, a box has 6 packages in it, and each pack has 4 big chunks in it, 100 calories per pack).

Other than that, I have been READY for summer. The weather is getting increasingly nicer here, and it is just making me so antsy to go to the lake! Our first trip will be Memorial Day weekend, and I’m ready for the camping festivities.

  • Catch me up – what have you been up to lately?
  • What’s something specific you are excited about for summer?

  1. Bush is my favorite band. I was a tad obsessed in junior high.

If I would have missed out on their concert I would be pretty chocked about it.

  2. Where was the festival? Costco has those banana dippers, or a version of. You might want to check it out.

    • It was in Charlotte this year! At the Speedway, they had it somewhere different last year but it wasnt really a big enough Venue, I think they plan to keep it at the Speedway now because it worked out really well!
